Junker was presented, the most advanced and loved app for recycling in Italy: an intelligent “tutor” who recognizes the products from the barcode or even from a photo, and explains how to bestow them correctly, distinguishing all the materials that compose it. A personal assistant, who reminds citizens of door-to-door calendars, guides them to the nearest collection point and helps them make more sustainable choices every day.

To be able to make the application work is enough download it for free on your smartphone. From that moment, to dispel any doubts in front of the bins of the differentiated, it will be enough frame the barcode of the package or, if not present, take a photo of the product, for know in real time what materials it is made of and how it should be conferred.

But not only. The Junker app, thanks to geolocation, is able to customize information based on the territory in which the user is located. Translated into ten languages, it is intuitive even for digital non-natives and accessible to the blind. If it happens that it does not recognize the product, the user can take a picture of it, transmit it to the app and receive the information to give it correctly in a few minutes. The reference will then be added to the database, thus enhancing the collaboration of citizens.
