Another attempted break-in at the Eurospin supermarket on via Madonna delle Grazie, near the cemetery in Carlentini. The private security guards managed to thwart the robbery, but the damages to the supermarket are significant, although still to be quantified. The thieves, armed with a stolen bobcat, dismantled the side wall of the supermarket and headed towards the safe. The alarm went off and Securitas security guards arrived on the scene. The thieves, seeing the situation, fled leaving the vehicle used for the break-in. Military personnel are on site to reconstruct the incident. Investigations are ongoing to identify the culprits.
