Car crashes into fence, driver dies in Enna inferno

A 24-year-old medical student, Ugo Vinci, died after being trapped in the back seat of a car that caught fire on the service road of the Pergusa race track. The incident, the causes of which are still being investigated, occurred late at night. The driver of the car, for reasons yet to be determined, lost control of the vehicle, which overturned, crashing into the race track fence and catching fire.

Two of the three occupants managed to escape from the car while the 24-year-old remained trapped inside the burning car, losing his life. The other two occupants of the car were injured in the attempt to extract their friend from the car and are now hospitalized. On the scene, in addition to the firefighters, there were also the carabinieri and the emergency medical personnel.
