Car crash in Favara: 76-year-old dies, wife injured

Another death on the streets of Sicily. This morning, 76-year-old Angelo Bello died in an accident on via Empedocle in Favara. According to an initial reconstruction, the elderly man had suffered a sudden illness while driving, losing control of the car and crashing into a wall. Emergency services were immediately called, and an ambulance arrived at the scene, but the medical staff could only confirm the man’s death. His wife, who was traveling with him, sustained minor injuries and was transferred to the emergency room at San Giovanni di Dio hospital in Agrigento. Both the carabinieri and the municipal police also arrived at the scene to conduct investigations into the cause of the crash. Traffic in the area was affected by the incident.
