Another road accident in the province of Ragusa. Two cars collided along the provincial road 64 Cava d’Aliga-Donnalucata in Scicli, a Fiat Panda, which overturned after the collision, and an Audi. The accident occurred after 9:30 pm yesterday evening (June 6).
Bystanders immediately alerted the emergency services. An ambulance from the 118 arrived on the scene, the paramedics provided first aid and transported a 60-year-old man, who was driving the Panda, to the Maggiore Hospital in Modica. There, doctors performed tests and, considering the severe facial trauma suffered, urgently transferred him to the Trauma Center in Catania by helicopter.
The fire brigade and carabinieri also arrived at the scene of the accident and carried out all the necessary investigations to understand the exact dynamics of the accident. The driver of the Audi initially fled, but later returned to the scene of the accident where he was subjected to an alcohol test and questioned by the carabinieri.
