A dramatic road accident, fortunately without serious consequences, occurred at around 6:45 today (26th March) on Via Balatelle, on the SP135, a road connecting the towns of Belpasso and Paternò. According to an initial reconstruction, the driver of a car, at a curve, lost control of the vehicle due to the wet asphalt, following the rain that fell during the night. The car ended up off the road, overturning among the vegetation that borders the road. The driver reportedly exited the vehicle on his own, although in a state of shock. The man sustained head injuries that will heal in a few days. An ambulance from 118 with medical personnel intervened on the scene to transport the injured person to the hospital.
