In Caltanissetta, the only capital city in Sicily where voting is taking place for the renewal of the municipal council, when 8 out of 56 sections have been scrutinized, it is a close race between three mayoral candidates: Walter Tesauro, the center-right candidate with 7 lists, at 34.09%, followed by the civic candidate Annalisa Petitto with 30.34% (also supported by the PD without a symbol) who is also backed by 7 lists, and the outgoing mayor of the M5S Roberto Gambino with 29.53% and the support of three lists including Sud chiama Nord. The scrutiny of the 56 sections is proceeding slowly.
