The police chief of Caltanissetta, after an investigation by the local anti-crime division, issued seven preventative measures against individuals responsible for illegal behavior in the area. Three people were issued mandatory expulsion orders with a ban on returning to the town of Caltanissetta for three years. All have prior records, are not residents of the area, do not work, and have no ties to the city. The measures were taken against a 36-year-old resident of Catania who was arrested for drug dealing, a 33-year-old homeless man arrested for resisting arrest, and a 38-year-old resident of Siracusa reported for selling counterfeit products. The police chief also issued two verbal warnings to dangerous individuals and two admonishments to individuals responsible for harassing their partners.
