Caltabellotta murder, suspect is Moroccan resident of Villabate

A 34-year-old Moroccan resident of Villabate has been arrested in Caltabellotta for the murder of a fellow countryman. The incident took place in a seasonal tent city where both men were living while working in the olive harvest. The suspect allegedly attacked the victim with a stick, leading to the murder. The initial theory of multiple attackers has not been confirmed. In a separate operation, authorities identified 9 irregular Moroccan immigrants living in the same tent city, with one being sent to the police for deportation. The others are being evaluated due to their involvement in legal proceedings. The arrested man is currently in prison pending trial.
