For over 12 hours, a central area of Syracuse has been without electricity. In the city of Archimedes, where yesterday the mercury column exceeded 46 degrees and today reached 40, thousands of families in the area between Via Tisia and Via Pitia are without electricity. This problem, combined with the high temperatures of these days, could become dramatic, especially for the many sick and elderly people who are at risk without air conditioning and even without being able to activate a simple fan.
