Burglars take advantage of owners’ absence to steal jewelry and money

Burglary in an apartment in Agrigento. According to the reconstruction, someone took advantage of the absence of the owners and entered a house in the Fontanelle neighborhood. The thieves allegedly used a Bulgarian key and, once inside, they ransacked the entire house, looking for valuable items.

Jewelry and money were stolen. The family, returning to the house, found it burglarized and at that point they alerted the authorities. The carabinieri arrived on the scene, conducted all necessary investigations, and interviewed the owner, a sixty-seven-year-old, to see if he had noticed anything suspicious in the days before the robbery.

The existence of surveillance cameras in the area is being evaluated, as their footage could be crucial for the continuation of the investigation. The value of the stolen goods is yet to be determined.
