Botti: mayor of Palermo, ban from tomorrow to 6 January

(ANSA) – PALERMO, DEC 29 – The mayor of Palermo, Roberto Lagalla, has issued an ordinance ordering – starting tomorrow and until Friday 6 January 2023, “the absolute prohibition throughout the municipal area of , launching and shooting fireworks, firecrackers, firecrackers, bowler hats and similar objects”.

Violation of the ordinance entails the application of administrative sanctions between 500 and 5,000 euros, “in addition to the seizure of the pyrotechnic material used or unlawfully detained and the subsequent confiscation, without prejudice, in addition, to any further criminal and administrative sanctions established by current legislation “. Furthermore, if the transgression of the ordinance is committed “in a place where there is a congregation of people, the penalty is imprisonment of up to one month”, forecasts confirmed in the context of the consolidated text of public safety laws.
