Belmonte Mezzagno pharmacy robbed twice, suspect arrested

The Carabinieri of the Misilmeri company carried out a preventive custody order in prison, issued by the gip of Termini Imerese, at the request of the prosecutor, against a 27-year-old man accused of robbery. According to the investigations of the military, the man is the author of two robberies against the same pharmacy in Belmonte Mezzagno. In the first case, in broad daylight, the suspect with his face covered by a ski mask and armed with a knife entered the business and threatened an employee, forcing her to hand over 250 euros. Thanks to the CCTV footage, the Carabinieri identified the young man who lives a few steps away from the commercial establishment. During the search at his home, the clothes and the knife used for the robbery were found. On May 3rd, the same man carried out a second robbery armed with a box cutter, taking away 400 euros. In this case, there are images showing the robber wearing the ski mask before entering the pharmacy. The suspect was taken to the Palermo Lorusso-Pagliarelli prison.
