Bagheria, municipal police officer assaulted by two youths

A municipal police officer was attacked in Bagheria during a patrol on Corso Umberto. The attack occurred during the Bagheria Urban Fashion event, and Lieutenant Salvatore Pilato was on duty to ensure the event’s security when he was assaulted by two young men riding an electric bike on the sidewalk. The officer tried to stop them, and the two fled after the assault, but have already been identified. The event continued without any issues, and the Lieutenant was treated at the hospital with a prognosis of 7 days. The Municipal Police Department expressed solidarity for the attack, and the city administration has been in talks with other law enforcement agencies to address safety concerns.
