The Mondo Donna awards were presented on Saturday evening in Capo d’Orlando. The event, now in its tenth year, is organized by the Pro loco in collaboration with the Municipality, based on an idea by Salvatore Monastra. 16 women were honored for their achievements in various fields, including social commitment, music, sports, literature, and business. Marina Turco, head of the Tgs newsroom, was recognized for her journalism work, particularly for a four-part series on the thirtieth anniversary of the mafia bombings in Palermo. Other winners include Patrizia Di Dio, national vice president of Confcommercio, Giuseppina Paterniti for her career at RAI 3, Lucia Goracci, a RAI correspondent who received the Sergio Granata prize, and Giulia Noera, a swimmer.
