Arrests made in Palermo, Casteldaccia, and Santa Flavia after arson attacks on company

The Carabinieri of the Bagheria Company have executed a custody order in prison against four individuals aged between 35 and 60, accused of aggravated arson and attempted extortion. The measure was issued by the Termini Imerese judge upon request from the prosecutor’s office. An enterprise has been targeted by arson attacks between February and April, resulting in damage to vehicles and the structure. The investigations suggest that the four arrested individuals, one of whom is related to the owner, were responsible for the intimidation in order to redistribute company shares without resorting to civil lawsuits. The Carabinieri were able to identify the alleged perpetrators through interceptions and the company’s surveillance system.
