Arrests in Trapani’s Anti-Mafia Blitz: 21 Suspects Detained, Including Palermo Man (33)

A total of 21 individuals have been arrested in the operation Scialandro carried out by the Anti-Mafia Investigation Directorate against mafia families in Trapani, Custonaci, and Valderice. The operation was coordinated by the Anti-Mafia District Directorate in Palermo. Seventeen of the arrested individuals have been placed in prison while four others are under house arrest. The names of those in prison include Pietro Armando Bonanno, Andrea Maurizio Buzzitta, Giuseppe Costa, Santo Costa, Gaetano Gigante, Luigi Grispo, Vittorio Giuseppe Grispo, Carlo Guarano, Andrea Intercola, Francesco Lipari, Paolo Magro, Giuseppe Maltese, Vito Manzo, Giuseppe Maranzano, Vito Mazzara, Roberto Melita, and Francesco Todaro. Those under house arrest are Gaetano Barone, Mario Mazzara, Mariano Minore, and Giuseppe Zichichi.
