Apartment fire leaves married couple hospitalized: Flames engulf Noto home

A husband and wife in Noto had a terrifying experience when a fire broke out in their apartment on Garibaldi Street. Smoke first filled the rooms, then flames quickly spread throughout almost every room. Luckily, they were able to escape just in time and alert authorities. Firefighters and the police arrived to extinguish the fire, and medical assistance was required for the couple’s smoke inhalation symptoms. Initial investigations suggest that a short circuit may have caused the fire, resulting in significant damage to the apartment. A similar incident occurred in Syracuse at the end of September, where a woman narrowly escaped a kitchen fire caused by a malfunctioning refrigerator.
