Anti Covid controls in Syracuse: eight people sanctioned by the police

Over the past weekend, police officers carried out checks throughout the province of Syracuse in order to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic. In Syracuse, the police officers checked a total of 40 gathering places, 30 shops and more than 100 vehicles. During the checks, about 200 people were identified, one of whom, a 27-year-old woman, was reported for insult and threatening a Public Official, while three others were sanctioned for failing to comply with current anti-covid regulations. The checks were also particularly thorough in the Lentini area where, over the weekend, a total of 50 shops, 65 vehicles and 100 people were checked, 6 of whom were sanctioned because they did not comply with current anti-covid regulations.
