Another night of burning garbage in Zen: dumpsters on fire in Villaggio Santa Rosalia too

Waste fires continue to rage at Zen. Last night, mountains of bags were set on fire, causing high clouds of black smoke. The fire department intervened in the northern neighborhood of Palermo to extinguish the fires. Similar incidents have occurred in other areas as well, including Villaggio Santa Rosalia and Via Villagrazia. This recurring problem is exacerbated by the slow waste collection due to staffing issues. Double shifts have been implemented, but piles of garbage can still be found in various areas, especially in outlying neighborhoods. This has led to widespread fires, including in Bonagia and Brancaccio. The situation is escalating and poses a potential environmental emergency.
