Andrea Cisternino, under the bombs in Kiev with 400 animals to save: today his story in Palermo

«Not out of courage but out of love. My story under the bombs with 400 animals to save».
It was 2015 when the refuge of Andrea Cisternino is set on fire. More than seventy dogs died in the fire. Nobody intervenes to put out the fire because at that time the Italian is hated, he is a foreigner who has occupied their land. When he arrives he finds the little bodies of the dogs still burning. United even in death, he will find Boris and Sara next to each other, two little dogs bound by deep love.

Andrea gets up and with his wife Vlada rebuilds everything. Thus was born the Italia Kj2 refuge, from the name of the bear killed in Trentino. In 2022, after seven years, unfortunately the Russian bombs arrive and another nightmare begins.

Today Saturday 10 December Cisternino it will be in Palermo, in the Almeyda hall of the Municipal Historical Archive of Palermo, in via Maqueda, 157, from 5 to 6.30 pm, to retrace those dramatic days recounted in his new book «Not out of courage but out of love. My story under the bombs with 400 animals to save».

During the event the videos shot in Ukraine by the author and that of Elisabetta Canalis, author of the preface, will be screened.
