At the moment there are still no concrete acts, but there is a shared will to overcome, after decades, a situation of degradation that is also leading to very serious damage to a cultural asset.
Yesterday the technicians of the Valley of the Temples Archaeological Park – led by the director Roberto Sciarratta – and those of the Cultural Heritage Office, went to Eraclea Minoa to carry out an inspection of the Greek theater, which is known to be covered by years with a plastic structure that, in fact, does not protect the delicate marl with which the structure is made.
In these 10 years at least there has been talk of recovery, consolidation and protection projects, but nothing has been achieved. Now it opens up to the idea of an international ideas competition that can find a design solution of very advanced engineering to be financed later with funds from the Park or with European resources.
