An autotransport company in trouble for unwarranted tax credits funded with the Pnrr: VIDEO

The article explains how the owner of a transport and logistics company in Comiso, Italy, has been investigated for fraudulently claiming tax credits totaling over 704,000 euros, with around 490,000 already illegally offset. The company falsely reported investments in assets to the tax authorities between 2017 and 2023 to obtain tax benefits, even though the sector is excluded from the incentive and the assets purchased were used instead of new. In some cases, only quotes were submitted without actually purchasing the asset, contributing to the inflated credit amount. The man is accused of unlawfully receiving public funds and offsetting them improperly. A judge has issued a seizure order for the unlawfully offset amount of over 490,000 euros, freezing bank accounts, real estate, and land, as well as blocking the remaining credit of over 200,000 euros through the tax authorities’ F24 suspension procedure.
