After the success of the first edition, it returns to Palermo starting from July 13 the training course for Java developers organized by Generation Italy as part of the Intesa Sanpaolo Youth and Work program, aimed at training young people in search of opportunities and accompanying them to the world of work.

The course is open to boys and girls aged between 18 and 29 and is completely free.
No previous skills are required to access the course, nor educational qualifications relating to the IT area, but only the passing an online test accessible from the Generation Italy website and a motivational interview.

The course is structured in 14 weeks, from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 18:00.
All lessons are held online.
The costs of the project, including those of identifying candidates and providing training courses, are covered by Intesa Sanpaolo, making their use totally free for both participants and companies interested in potential hires.

The educational program addresses and explores issues such as application architecture, fundamentals of UX and technology, application testing and quality verification, Aja applications and based on Spring framework, persistence based on JPA and Hibernate, SOA and Web Services (with case studies and role-plays).
At the end of the training each participant has in fact the opportunity to meet companies in the Palermo area interested in the professional profile acquired during the course.

The goal of the Youth and Work programwhich started in 2019 and which has already trained over 2000 young people throughout Italy on the basis of the real needs of companies, is in fact twofold: providing skills in the Java field and creating a link between the participants and the local companies in search of these figures , among the most requested on the job market.

The Youth and Work project is fully part of Intesa Sanpaolo’s ESG commitment in favor of the country’s growth, a commitment that is expressed with great attention to young people, the right to education, training and access to the world of work.
