Almost all migrants transferred from Porto Empedocle, 500 still remain in Lampedusa.

There are currently 74 migrants, including 71 unaccompanied minors, in the tent structure in Porto Empedocle, Agrigento. Yesterday, following the orders from the Prefecture of Agrigento, the migrants were redistributed and escorted by the police to be transferred to various locations including Lazio, Vibo Valentia, Umbria, Liguria, Marche, Pozzallo, Molise, Basilicata, Crotone, Veneto, and Puglia. The unaccompanied minors were placed in different facilities in Siculiana, Catania, and Foggia. Today, three girls over the age of 14 will leave the arrival and pre-identification area of Porto Empedocle and be transported to Trapani. In Lampedusa, there are currently 543 migrants, including 225 unaccompanied minors, at the hotspot. No transfers are expected for today. Yesterday, over 300 individuals from the first reception facility were transferred to Porto Empedocle using two regular ferries.
