Al Gonzaga of Palermo, the chief prosecutor De Lucia and the president of the tribunal Morosini meet with students

The chief prosecutor of Palermo, Maurizio De Lucia, engaged in a discussion with the students of Gonzaga Campus, based on the book “La cattura. I misteri di Matteo Messina Denaro e la mafia che cambia”. The themes of mafia and social and cultural anti-mafia were addressed. De Lucia emphasized the importance of telling the true story of what happened, while journalist Salvo Palazzolo highlighted the role of students in the anti-mafia movement. The president of the Palermo court, Piergiorgio Morosini, also participated, stating that defeating the mafia requires more than just law enforcement and the judiciary, as it is a problem of existential security that thrives in contexts of poverty and ignorance. He also pointed out the relationship between the mafia and social fragility in certain areas.
