At the Kolymbethra Garden a special evening of art, good wine, table fragrances and exceptional guests. On Sunday 18 August at 8.00 pm the “Scent of the written page” is scheduled, the dinner-show inside the most enchanting garden of Sicily. A traveling dinner immersed in a dreamlike atmosphere that this year will be accompanied by the evocative interpretations of the actor Andrea Tidona. Two great chefs Bonetta Dell’Oglio, cook from Palermo known to the RAI programs, and Fabio Gulotta, owner of the Terracotta restaurant in Agrigento, will offer a rich menu composed with Slow Food presidia and excellent raw materials grown in the Garden.
Actor Andrea Tidona, among the faces of the TV series "Il Commissario Montalbano", will read pieces by Vittorini, Piccolo and Borges, opening with the passage of the Odyssey "Un Calice di Nero Vino". The Donnafugata winery with its fine wines will be the main protagonist of the evening. Baldo Palermo, Donnafugata's sales manager, will talk about the wines and the history of one of the most important wine-making realities in Sicily. The direction and the conduction of the event are by Massimo Brucato.
The menu includes a tasting of four Donnafugata wines paired with dishes that tell the territory and the flavors of the Garden. From the indigenous grain breads with anchovies and aromas of Kolymbethra, to the sweet and sour vegetables, to the Bidì cous cous with fish. And then again goat's milk foam from Girgentana, parmiciana and basil oil, peppers from the Garden, all the way to the dessert where a Mediterranean crunchy and a verdello granita will be offered.
The appointment is at 8pm with free admission to the Valle da Porta V. The dinner show has a cost of 35 euros (30 euros for FAI members). The event is promoted by Fai – Giardino della Kolymbethra, Slow Food Agrigento, Donnafugata and Terracotta restaurant.
