Agrigento merchant targeted in 1,500 euro payment scam

An investigation is underway by the police after a Sicilian merchant fell victim to a payment scam. The merchant, who owed 1500 euros to a supplier, received a payment reminder with a different Iban. Unaware of the scam, the merchant made the transfer to the provided account. Despite the payment, the merchant received another letter asking for the payment to be made again. Realizing the fraud, the merchant contacted the sender and reported the incident to the police. The authorities are now investigating to identify the culprit behind the scam.
