A 61-year-old man lost control of his Ford Focus and crashed into a guardrail on the 640 highway between Agrigento and Favara. The impact was severe, leaving the driver with multiple injuries requiring emergency transport to San Giovanni Di Dio hospital. Carabinieri arrived at the scene to investigate the crash’s dynamics, but it appears no other vehicles were involved. Long traffic queues formed as people waited for assistance and investigations to conclude. This is the second serious accident on this section of the 640 highway in recent weeks. In the previous incident, three cars collided, resulting in injuries.
