According to initial reports, one of the drivers made a risky overtaking maneuver, triggering the collision. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, with one man sustaining minor injuries and receiving assistance from emergency services. Traffic in the direction of Messina between the two exits is heavily slowed, with vehicles traveling in a single lane. The highway police are conducting an investigation, and the highway maintenance company is working to clear the vehicles and debris.
