After the controversy over reserved seats for disabled people during Vasco Rossi’s concert at the Palermo stadium, the city is taking steps to ensure accessibility for Claudio Baglioni’s concerts. In recent weeks, inspections have already been conducted at the velodrome Paolo Borsellino, where the singer-songwriter’s three highly anticipated shows will take place from October 12th to 14th. Pasquale Di Maggio, the city’s disability commissioner, has announced that areas dedicated to people with disabilities have been identified, allowing them to attend the concerts without difficulty. “The seats will be reserved under the stage, in the front row of the stands, and in side positions,” explains Di Maggio. “These areas are able to combine visibility of the show with safety,” he adds. Additionally, a parking area for at least ten cars will be available for disabled individuals near the ticket office. “After being in contact with the organizers, we conducted various inspections of the venue together with the coordinator of the Accessibility and Mobility Table of the Committee for the Promotion of the Rights of Disabled People of the City,” explains the commissioner. “In an atmosphere of great, productive, and effective collaboration, we have assigned the best possible positions to disabled individuals.”
