The Carabinieri of the anti-counterfeiting and health unit of Palermo, with the support of the soldiers of the company of Mazara del Vallo, seized almost a ton of fish products, with a total value of about 40 thousand euros, from a company operating in the sector. The goods for sale were found to be non-compliant with the self-control standards based on the principles of the HACCP system without the implementation of traceability that guarantees the safety of the food supply chain. In addition to the seizure, the Carabinieri imposed a fine of 3,500 euros on the legal representative of the company.
