A beach reserved for dogs in Marina di Ragusa. The decision was made by Mayor Peppe Cassì who signed an ordinance reserving a section of the beach next to the sewage treatment plant for our four-legged friends. This decision was also made in response to requests from animal rights activists who have highlighted the need to allow dog owners access to the beaches of Marina di Ragusa.

With the ordinance, dogs registered in the canine registry and equipped with a microchip are granted free access to the designated area, which will be indicated by specific signage. However, dog owners must follow certain rules to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the area. It will be mandatory to keep dogs on a leash and, if necessary, make them wear a muzzle. Additionally, owners must carry shovels or waste bags to clean up after their animals. These measures are necessary to ensure environmental respect and coexistence between visitors and the dogs that frequent the beach.
