A tragic road accident in Gaggi, a town near Taormina: a 44-year-old man lost his life in a collision between a car and a motorcycle. The man, identified as Rosario Cardillo from Mascali, Province of Catania, was riding a Ktm motorcycle towards Graniti when the crash occurred with a car entering the main road from Via Roma. Despite immediate assistance, the motorcyclist’s injuries were severe and he arrived at the Taormina hospital already deceased. The driver of the car, a woman from Gaggi, sustained serious injuries and underwent surgery to have her spleen removed. The investigation to reconstruct the accident’s dynamics is being carried out by the carabinieri of the Radiomobile Unit of the Taormina company, who conducted examinations at the scene of the accident.
