Arrest made in Gela post office robbery
The police have identified and arrested the perpetrator of a robbery that took place this morning at the post office in via Verga in Gela, in the province of Caltanissetta. The robber entered the post office around 8.30 am with his face uncovered and immediately headed towards one of the counters. He would have snatched the money from the hands of an employee who, also due to the presence of plexiglass, suffered abrasions on his hands. The robber apparently was unarmed. The police officers from the Gela police station, after viewing the camera footage provided by the employees, were able to track down the man who was identified and arrested.
