Agrigento: Margout the Dog Finds Hashish in Prison Letter

A new attempt to introduce drugs into Sicilian prisons was foiled by a drug-sniffing dog. This was reported by Dario Quattrocchi, national counselor of the Osapp union. “The dog Margout, led by assistant chief Giuseppe Bonifacio, managed to find 350 grams of hashish hidden in a letter sent to a prisoner in the prison of Agrigento,” Quattrocchi said. “The drugs were also found in recent days in the prisons of Enna and Palermo, always by drug-sniffing dogs. There have been more than 5 discoveries in seven days. The Osapp autonomous union of penitentiary police expresses gratitude and satisfaction towards the colleagues who intervened and managed to find the drugs and cell phones that are increasingly being attempted to be smuggled into prisons.”
