6 municipalities in Palermitano use trail cameras to combat stubborn litterbugs

The Metropolitan City of Palermo has delivered 10 camera traps, 2 for each municipality, to the mayors of Partinico, Corleone, Alia, San Giuseppe Jato, and Scillato. This supply of devices adds to the previous distribution of 22 camera traps in 14 other municipalities in the metropolitan area. The company responsible for producing the camera traps, Steam Service di Alcamo, will also provide training for the use of the equipment. This investment aims to strengthen environmental control and protection, specifically to combat the issue of illegal dumping in the province. The Metropolitan City is making efforts to combat the illicit disposal of waste and has increased the presence of provincial police officers in collaboration with the municipal police of Palermo and Rap to prevent waste migration from the province to the city.
