52-year-old dies after crashing into guardrail on the main road between Mazara and Campobello

A fatal accident occurred last night, between Sunday 17th and Monday 18th September, on State Road 115, in the Mazara del Vallo-Campobello di Mazara section. Bruno Festeggiante, a 52-year-old man from Mazara del Vallo, lost his life in the accident. He was driving an Alfa Romeo 156 and was heading towards Campobello di Mazara. His car veered off the road and collided with a guardrail in a curve. Firefighters from the Castelvetrano station had to be called to extract him from the vehicle. When he was rescued, he was still alive but suffered severe injuries. He was rushed to the emergency room at Vittorio Emanuele II Hospital in Castelvetrano but unfortunately passed away a few hours later.
