A group of 48 migrants, including two minors, were spotted by the carabinieri along the Ponente road in Lampedusa. They had just arrived on the beach of Isola dei Conigli. The 10-meter wooden boat was found on the shore. The group, consisting of Egyptians, Moroccans, Syrians, and Senegalese, stated that they departed from Zouara in Libya at 10 p.m. on Friday, with each paying $5,000 for the crossing.
