46-year-old Tunisian man in Lampedusa arrested, accused of being a human trafficker

A 46-year-old Tunisian man was arrested in Lampedusa by the police for suspected involvement in aiding illegal immigration. He allegedly facilitated the entry of 44 migrants of various nationalities into the country through the Lampedusa border. The investigation was conducted by the naval sector military of the financial guard and the coast guard of Lampedusa, following a landing on Tuesday, November 14th. The Tunisian man was transferred by helicopter to Agrigento and taken to the Pasquale Di Lorenzo prison. The arrest warrant was issued by the judge of the court of Agrigento at the request of the prosecutor and carried out by the police Mobile Team and the Sco unit.
