A 41-year-old man was fatally injured in Mascali, in the province of Catania, at the culmination of a fight with a neighbor of the same age. The aggressor struck him in the throat with a pair of scissors, causing a massive hemorrhage. The victim of the attack died at the Giarre hospital.
The aggressor was arrested by the carabinieri, who found him at home with a t-shirt stained with blood and a fanny pack containing the scissors used to harm the neighbor. The motive for the dispute has not yet been clarified. The Catania prosecutor’s office, with the addition of Fabio Scavone, has ordered the transfer of the arrested person to prison and the autopsy, which will be carried out tomorrow.
