40-year-old man dies from sudden illness at sea in Termini Imerese

A 40-year-old man, Vittorio Spallino, died at sea yesterday in Contrada Ginestra in Termini Imerese, presumably due to a sudden illness. Some beachgoers noticed the body floating just meters from the shore and immediately alerted authorities. Emergency medical services arrived at the scene, but could only confirm the death. Carabinieri and Port Authority officials also responded to the incident. The coroner determined that the cause of death was drowning, and the body was returned to the family for funeral arrangements.
