4 assailants rob a bar in Belpasso, one of the bandits arrested

Four bandits last night robbed a bar with an attached game room in Belpasso, in the Piano Tavola district. One of the criminals, a 47-year-old man, was arrested by the carabinieri during the escape. The accomplice driving the scooter on which he was a passenger lost control due to high speed and crashed. The military found the injured man with a head injury. The other accomplice managed to flee on foot. The other two bandits escaped in a Fiat Panda. The 47-year-old was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with minor injuries. The bandits, pretending to have a weapon, took 4,000 euros, scratch cards, and cigarettes before fleeing. The bar owner called the carabinieri, who arrived in time. After being discharged from the hospital, the 47-year-old was placed under house arrest by the judicial authorities. Investigations are still ongoing to identify the other three accomplices.
