The Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Partinico have intensified their patrols in order to prevent and suppress crimes against individuals and property. The local station’s officers arrested a 39-year-old man accused of evasion; he had left his house without authorization to visit some relatives while under house arrest. In Balestrate, a 26-year-old man was reported for receiving stolen goods and attempted car theft. He was found in possession of a battery taken from a car parked in a workshop while trying to resell it. Witnesses indicated that he had also tried to steal a Peugeot 107 by breaking its window before being deterred by the alarm. During road checks conducted by the Mobile Section of Partinico, a 25-year-old was reported for driving under the influence, a 31-year-old and a 55-year-old for violating the obligations of a special surveillance measure by driving without a valid license, and a 29-year-old and a 36-year-old for driving without a license for the second time in two years.
