Explain the following article briefly:
Andrea Fiorenza (pictured), the 26-year-old man involved in a road accident last week in via Cordovado, in the Piano D’Api district of Acireale, did not make it. On May 28th, Fiorenza was driving his motorcycle when he collided with a Fiat Panda. Immediate assistance was called in. The twenty-six-year-old was transported by ambulance to the emergency room at the hospital in Acireale. Initially admitted to the orthopedic department for a femur fracture, his condition worsened and he was transferred to the intensive care unit. After a week of agony, he passed away last night.
The tragic news comes just days after another fatal accident in Acireale. On May 26th, Venerando Patanè, a 31-year-old motorcyclist, died at the Cannizzaro hospital in Catania after a road accident in the Mangano district. In that case, the motorcyclist lost control of his MV Agusta 1090 RR and went off the road.
