2 arrested in Palermo for using stolen credit cards

The State Police arrested two men accused of aggravated theft and improper use of credit cards. The thieves had stolen a tourist’s backpack in central Palermo. The victim reported to the police that purchases had been made with the credit cards. Thanks to the data on the woman’s smartphone, the officers were able to track down the two men who were buying cigarette packs from an automatic dispenser. The backpack was also recovered. The arrests were validated by the judge in Palermo.
