16 fires in Sicily for Ferragosto: From Aragona to Sciacca, from Adrano to Monterosso Almo

On the day of Ferragosto, 16 fires broke out in Sicily. The fire department and forestry workers were called to action. Three fires occurred in Agrigento, two in Nisseno and Messina, five in Catania, one in Ragusa, Syracuse, and Trapani. Even in Palermo, a fire occurred on Monte Pellegrino, and Canadair planes were used to extinguish it. From Aragona to Sciacca, Adrano to Belpasso, and even in Calatabiano, Canadair planes were dispatched. Additionally, there were fires in Galati Mamertino and Monterosso Almo.
