14 kilograms of fireworks seized in Misilmeri

The police have reported a person from Misilmeri for the illegal possession of fireworks. The man, who holds a pyrotechnician license, was found to have 13 fireworks batteries and additional fireworks hidden around his home, totaling over 14 kilograms of explosive material. The fireworks were stored in excess of the legal limit, and although they were available for purchase, they were illegally held due to containing more explosive material than allowed. The police seized the fireworks with the help of the bomb squad and revoked the man’s license. This comes as part of a series of checks on fireworks license holders in anticipation of the upcoming holidays, when unauthorized fireworks are typically set off.
