Mercato di Ballarò, new halt: the regulation returns to the sender.

The process of assigning stalls to 41 street vendors in the new covered structure at Ballarò market in Palermo continues to face delays and bureaucratic obstacles. The act elaborated by the Suap was returned for revision, with two articles needing modification according to the secretary general’s feedback. The main issue hindering progress is the non-delivery of the structure by the Iacp, the current owner, to the municipality. Additionally, the opposition calls for swift action to address the lack of law enforcement and the prevalent degradation in the area. The procedure for bringing the act to the City Council was also criticized for its flaws. The initial notice for the allocation of the 41 spaces was revoked in March due to procedural doubts and further delays have ensued.
